Detailed directions : Park your car on Paseo Miramar and look for the Topanga State Park board. Stay on Paseo Miramar trail till you reach Parker Mesa Overlook.
Dogs are not allowed in this park.
Trail splits to go on to Los Liones Drive, stay on Paseo Miramar trail. This hike is not suitable for trail running due to the gravel. However if you try running on it and step on a stone you might injure your tendons and toe joints. The pain might last more than a year (as in my case).
Enjoy the views on the way. On a clear day you can see the Channel islands.
Keep left here to continue on to Paseo Miramar trail.
At about 2.2 miles from the trailhead, you will arive at this fork with trash bins. Continue on to Paseo Miramar trail on the left. Parker Mesa Overlook is 0.5 miles from here.
There are a couple of benches at the peak where you can sit and chill. A majority of trails in California do not have ocean views, so enjoy it while you are there.

Watch out for Rattle snakes. They don't attack but when cornered they defend themselves.
